One of the fights was televised, ending in a draw. After the fight, Daniels would take on Tessa Tualevao in the following two parts of their trilogy. Peres won the fight by Unanimous Decision. On the 30th of March 2019, Daniels made her TV debut when she fought for the WBO Light Heavyweight title against Geovana Peres. In 2017, she scored the most points for her team. She played for the Te Tai Tokerau Northland Phoenix, wearing the number 7 singlet and playing the position of point guard. Between 20, leading into her world title fight, Daniels played professional basketball in the NZNBL Women League, the NZ WBC at the time. In 2019, it was announced the sequel to her fight against Peres would happen for a World title. Daniels won the New Zealand (Pro Box NZ version) Super Middleweight title, becoming the third female to win two New Zealand titles and the first female to win two New Zealand titles in two different weight divisions from two different commissioning bodies. Two months later, she would win her second New Zealand title against Tessa Tualevao in the first of their three-fight trilogy. Daniels would defend her own New Zealand title successfully against Nailini Helu. In March 2018, she had her first fight against Geovana Peres for her New Zealand (PBCNZ version) Light Heavyweight title. In her two-fight rivalry against Trish Vaka, Daniels won both fights and New Zealand (NZPBA version) Light Heavyweight title.
